Members of the Upper Hudson Farmstead & Artisanal Cheesemakers are extending an invitation to the public to see how cheese is made. On September 15 and 16 five cheesemakers will open their operations to the public. Come watch the cheesemaking process, meet the cheesemakers and some of the animals that make the raw resource needed for cheese, milk.
This is a self-drive tour, you can stop at every cheese makers, or pick one or two that you are interested. A map will be added to this site when it becomes available. We also will have a description of each cheesemaker, a little history of their operation and details on their special cheeses.
There are several other special events planned for the weekend. Stay tuned as plans are finalized.
Any questions can be posted to this blog.
